King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center
(My home away from home!)
Page 2
| The housing provided by the hospital
is quite nice. Housing for the single status women is either on the hospital
property (Complex A, B, C & E) or just across the road (Complex D, MCV and
KAC). The single status men live in an apartment building a few kilometers from
the hospital and families are housed in one of several nearby compounds or
apartment buildings. To see more details of some of the housing check out my previous pages: Traveling to KSA & Moving into Our New Home Moving on up -- My New Apartment |

| Some of you may be concerned about
security here, but you needn't be. The hospital is surrounded by a high wall
and everyone is checked in at one of the main gates. In addition the approach
to each of the housing areas is also guarded by hospital security. For those off-campus housing areas, concrete barriers, barbed wire, and fully armed military personnel provide security. |

![]() First impressions are very positive when you walk into the main lobby. |
![]() At the other end of the hospital, the entrance to the Research Center is very impressive. |
![]() You'll not forget you are in a Muslim country. This is the mosque on the hospital campus. |
![]() In addition, prayer rooms are available throughout the hospital. |
![]() Men and women are mostly segregated. Here is one of the Female Waiting areas. The Male Waiting room is the next room down just past the water cooler. |
![]() You'll even see that segregation at Starbucks -- women order on the left, males on the right (but the same crew serves them all). |
