| I arrived in Narok on Sunday morning.
That morning Katie and I attended a local church, then in the evening we got
together with some other Christian workers in the area for a time of
fellowship. Katie led the worship time and played the guitar for our
singing. |

| I got to visit the
site of the new building going up where various activities will be held. Some
folks from my home church as well as others have helped get this building off
the ground. |

The town of Narok is
the largest Masai town. The area is poor, the streets are bustling with
vehicles, donkey carts, bicycles, and pedestrians. Everyone I met was very
friendly, and everyone who knew Katie loved her! |
| On the day I was returning to Nairobi
to catch my flight back to Riyadh, we made a day of it! Katie and I were
accompanied by Tim and Kristin for the trip. We had lunch at the Butterfly
House, which was really nice. Then we visited the Giraffe center where we were
able to hand-feed the giraffes being bred there. Later we met up with some
other friends from Narok who were in the city and went bowling. For two of the
guys it was the first time they'd ever bowled! Finally we really indulged at
the Masai Meat Market, where a variety of meats were served, including ostrich
and crocodile! |
